Early Intervention: Braces for Children

Did you know that early orthodontic intervention can greatly reduce the need for future oral surgery?

Orthodontists today have started treating patients as young as 8 years old to redirect skeletal growth. The removable appliances we use in our office have the ability properly guide jaw growth to correct malocclusion, or a bad bite. This guidance helps to inhibit adverse skeletal growth, leaving plenty of space for each adult tooth to erupt.

It's important that our teeth have enough room in our mouths if we ever wish to have a healthy smile. So without early treatment, many patients must undergo teeth extraction to create such space.
